The 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference or the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC, more commonly referred to as the COP, will be the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference, which will be held from 30 November to 12 December 2023, at Expo City Dubai. The conference has been held annually since the first UN climate agreement in 1992, and is used by governments to agree on policies to limit global temperature increases and adapt to the impacts associated with climate change.
Considering climate change and the importance of its impact in every area of life, with the support of the Olof Palme International Center, the Qemal Stafa Foundation, as a Foundation that aims to assist in the policy-making process at the national and international level with ideas, guidelines, studies and political programs, in cooperation with the Tirana Environmental Council, organizes the Social Academy in the environmental field with the theme: “Albania Youth Voice in COP 28”.
The Social Academy was held in Tirana on November 16, 2023 and was organized in the form of 5 roundtables held simultaneously where young people had the opportunity to raise their concerns about the impact that climate change has on their present and future, while also providing their proposals for possible solutions.
