The Qemal Stafa Foundation participates in the XXVI Congress of the Socialist International held on November 25-27, 2022 in Madrid, Spain, organized by the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party, PSOE.
The Congress was attended by more than 450 participants from around 100 delegations from all continents. Participants included heads of state and government, party leaders and specially invited guests.
The main themes of the Congress were: securing peace and strengthening democracy; working for equality between women and men; stopping and reversing climate change; achieving a fair and inclusive economy; and labor rights and digitalization.
The shared objective of the Congress by all member parties was the will to continue paving the way for social democracy, building mechanisms that protect every person, strengthening democratic institutions, guaranteeing gender equality and women’s rights, and protecting human rights and freedoms around the world.
