In an era of growing disinformation and fluctuating public trust, democracy faces significant challenges particularly during election cycles. This module aims to deepen participants’ understanding of democratic principles, institutions, and processes, while equipping them with the skills to critically assess information, recognize manipulation, and defend the integrity of democratic systems. With social media reshaping political communication and influence, and Albania’s democracy still consolidating, it is crucial for young leaders, activists, and citizens to become active defenders of democratic values and transparency. Foundations of Democracy: Principles, Institutions, and Participation
Identifying and combating disinformation and political propaganda
Media literacy and the role of social media in shaping political opinion
Ensuring free and fair elections: The electoral law, The diaspora Vote
The role of civil society and youth in safeguarding democratic processes
